MASTER CLASS WORKSHOPS

Babes With Blades is committed to providing opportunities for actor-combatants of both genders to sharpen their skills by sponsoring master classes. Our first such workshop was held in September 2002 and was taught by David "Pops" Doersch, an experienced Fight Director and founding member of the International Order of the Sword and Pen. Since then we have sponsored three more workshops with both Doersch and Tony Wolf, founder of the New Zealand Stage Combat Society and Cultural Fighting Styles Designer for Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings trilogy. In addition, we sponsored A Taste of Swash: a three-part workshop, led by Chicago-area experts Angela Bonacasa, R&D Choreography, and David Woolley, focusing on the fighting style specific to the singlesword.

Check this page for dates and times, or email workshop@BabesWithBlades.org for more information.
