You can search by name, region, time period, vocation/avocation
in any combination. Use the "back" button to return
to the 'Search' screen. We are aware that many names have
spelling variants, and are working on a system to allow
for all accepted spellings of each warrior's name. In the
meantime, however, if you are looking for a specific woman
and typing in her name does not return a result, try searching
by time period, descriptive or continent.
For example, Anny Bonny's first and last name each have
at least one variant (i.e. "Anne" and "Bonney).
She can also be found, however, if you click on "Crossdressers"
or "Vigilantes and Outlaws", she will appear in
the results.
We are actively seeking resources for this page and our
database. If you come across any stories about women taking
a martial role in history, please email our
Webmistress and she'll make sure they get included here.
